Cali The land of fruits, nuts and flakes. If it was a foreign country we would attack it. When it cracks off into the ocean will anyone care?

And don't forget all those mine fields that need to be cleared!

The left-wing bastion of Berkeley, Calif.Rush called their condemnation of the U.S. anti-terrorist war an INTELLECTUAL MASTURBATION.
Was Chelsebeast a student at Berkeley?

I heard they voted Berzerkley a terrorist-free zone. Also an anthrax-free zone. Brave folks, neh?

"Although public opinion polls show the American public in favor of the military response by an unprecedented margin, former city council member Ying Lee Kelley urged the panel to "continue to honor Berkeley's tradition of opposition to brute force to solve profoundly difficult social problems" Forgive me Councilman Kelley, But a majority of Americans dont believe retalitation for the cold blooded murder of American citizens on American soil, and the effort to root out those guilty of same and destroy them to prevent this happening again is brute force. Maybe you should look into the faces of fatherless and motherless children in NYC and Va. and speak to the husbands, wives, and mothers and fathers of those lost and assure them that peace and compassion and inaction guarantees their safety. See what kind of response you recieve.

You forgot to add to the headline...
"...Not That Anyone Gives A S**t What Berkely Thinks."
Please try to be more accurate and thorough in the future.
Thank you.

I've been to Cal-Berkeley and wasn't too impressed. They accept a lot more students than one could imagine. I've seem some very marginal students accepted. They've been falling fast for years. I wouldn't give this school a passing grade.

I'm surprised it wasn't 9-0. They are just a joke; need to get out of that time warp. What would the comrades have done if the attack had happened in Berkeley? Called a hippie?
Just once, I want to hear what their response is to combatting terrorism; all I hear is "peace and love, man" but no solutions. How many times do you need to get punched in the nose before you fight back? You almost have to feel sorry for them, not quite, but almost. They are really pitiful.

What to do if you happen upon a peace rally by naïve college students, to teach them why force is sometimes necessary:
1.) Approach student talking about "peace" and saying there should be "no retaliation."
2.) Engage in brief conversation; ask if military force is appropriate.
3.) When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
4.) Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence."
5.) When he's in mid-sentence, punch him in the face.
6.) When he gets back up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that would "be awful and he should not cause more violence."
7.) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence.
8.) Punch him in the face again.
9.) Repeat steps 5 through 8 until he understands that sometimes it's necessary to punch back.

It's easy to be against war when it is someone else being attacked. All of the recent attacks have happened on the east coast, far far away from Berkley. From their point of view, war only increases the chance it will spread to Bearkley. It just shows they are thinking more about themselves then the coutnry as a whole.
How would they have voted if the planes had hit buildings in San Francisco, and the antrhax scares were up and down the west coast? Would they be saying don't do anything to stop this, or would reality finally have hit home.

Ok, surfer. You win. I've been a jerk. You've posted this article deal 3 times that I know of, and I've voiced how many times it's already been posted. But admire your perstistance, so you can post away and I will cope. -4mycountry
