There is no such rule. A jury is empowered to choose whom to believe, and is given guidance by the judge about how to determine credibility. It might be difficult to do in "he said-she said" scenario, but it is not impossible.

Corroboration is sine qua non to crediting or rejecting confessions to crimes--not to determining the truth in "he said-she said" scenarios.

I disagree. It's strictly "he said, she said" and nobody would even issue an arrest warrant on it, let alone prosecute it and put it before a jury.
