You think so?! I haven't really noticed much change in voice quality myself, and I consider myself something of a "connoisseur." What I have noticed--and actually have emailed Rush about prior to hearing of his impairment--was his inability to distinguish obvious sarcasm in the voice of callers. For awhile there, it seemed like he was labeling waaay too many people as Seminar Callers when they were actually agreeing with--and buttressing--Limbaugh's opinion.

Everything happens for a reason, though, and I reckon Rush'll figger out a way to make lemonade outta this lemon Life's sent his way.

That's a good tipoff to the deterioration of his hearing. I don't hear much of Rush so maybe I'm more attuned to the change of his voice...the slight nasal twang and the patterns of enunciation are evocative of Matt's speech.
