I read a lot of fan fiction & some writers have the characters dedicate songs to each other. sometimes it's humorous, sometimes it's sentimental but the tunes are usually right on target. I've done the same for the current situation & invite everyone to do the same. It's good therapy. World to terrorists:"WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT"- Twisted Sister. US Air Force to Taliban:"ROCK THE CASBAH"-The Clash. Allied Special Forces to OBL:"SOMEDAY"-Blondie. Northern Alliance to Taliban:"BAD MOON RISING"-Creedence Clearwater Revival. Afghan Women to Taliban:"RESPECT"-Aretha Franklin.

And what's the name of that song by Nazareth that states "Now you're messin' with a son of a b***h!". And their other song "Back to the Trenches." Both fairly appropriate.

My best friend and I heard "Rock the Casbah" Saturday afternoon. We thought it was a new song. It was cool. We tried to buy it. Disc Jockey was sold out of Clash CD's. I ordered it on the internet. It's a great song. My Mom says that there was a video from the 1980's. I don't watch MTV so I never saw it.

"Now you're messin' with a son of a b***h!". That would be Nazareth "Hair of the Dog" GREAT song.
My vote would be "You Dropped a Bomb on Me", by the Gap Band.

"Rock the Casbah" was the first song played on Armed Forces Radio, Saudi Arabia during the build up for Desert Shield.

Guns 'n' Roses did a great version of "Hair of the Dog," too, on their covers compilation album "The Spaghetti Incident?"
TT Quick? God, there's a name I haven't heard in years. Takes me back to the great old days of Bergen County bar bands and "The Aquarian" weekly. Thanks for making me smile!
I was just reading an article earlier today that suggested we drop musical instruments into Afghanistan, along with everything else that has become forbidden under the Taliban oppression. I like it..."A Les Paul Conquers All!"
