For old time's sake, I just tried to post a link to a "Newsweek Kills Story on White House Intern" thread, but it's vanished. In fact, I just noticed that the link to the "Old Topics List" that used to be on the main FR page is gone. I assume most of the posts that are from 1998 or earlier are gone, which is too bad.

If anyone has a link to a file to an original Drudge Lewinsky/Newsweek story thread that has not been lost, that would be nice to go back and look through.

Try a Google search. It's amazing what will turn up. I did one on myself (screen name) once, and all these FreeRepublic posts and replies popped up. I vowed then that I would always try to use proper grammar and spelling and not D___mn anyone to He!! unless they really deserved it! My typing sometimes gets in the way of the spelling and grammar, and my temper sometimes gets in the way of the other vow!

I think this is just temporary. John wrote something recently to the effect that the new search function will be able to go back to the beginning of FR.
