To: TLBSHOW
This is a tough one for me. The question is, can people without the physical facilities to do so be allowed to carry firearms? In this case it's a blind person. How about a retarded person? Or a legally insane person? I don't know the answer, so I'm just asking the question, wondering if any intelligent arguments for both sides of the issue are out there.

He has to satisfy the same legal requirements as anyone else when it comes to justfying his actions. The constitution doesn't say that blind people can't own guns. He can own one and defend himself in his own house and on his own land, so why not elsewhere?

I have hoped to get a blind person into a CCW class in Arizona, but no luck so far.

Even a blind person can, if familiar with the firearm, hit someone in contact with him.

Makes me a little nervous, but not too much. I'd have to see the training.
