IMHO, God gave us the NT in Greek for the reason that the language is so more precise, yet for your own selfish reasons RC's try to make it sound ambigous. It conveys much more meaning in fewer words. What matters to me is what we in Scripture, not what we don't have. If you didn't have your own agenda for Scripture you would accept it for what it is, the revelation of God's message to mankind, not some instrument to "prove" the doctrines that we have already implemented.

Well, I guess I won't disagree with that although I always thought it was written in greek because that was the language used by literate people everywhere at the time. I guess it doesn't matter - although I thought you guys always preferred the original KJV to the greek text.

It has always amazed me though that the people who understand Greek the best (you know - all those people in Greece?) never seemed to hit it off with some of these funky translational ideas you guys come up with. They pretty much stuck with their orthodox beliefs (including the role of Peter).
