OLD REGGIE,truer words were never spoken(well at least hardly ever, since I haven't heard everything I can't speak for everything).

I saw "We Were Soldiers" over the weekend. It brought back all the pain. It also reminded me of why I have such a visceral reaction to our government so very often. Soothing Dave I know you did not mean what you said but, please don't ever even think it let alone say it.

I have said before and I believe that the "truth will set you free."With that in mind go see that movie.Since I was one of those wives, lived with those families for 6 years, knew the men who fought there and was immersed in the military life,I can attest to the veracity of that movie. It was in Viet Namm that my husband lost his life,my brother his faith and my best friend his mind. And listen carefully for the last lines--von Clausiwitz--chilling. That is why it is so imprtant to save Christianity, there is no other way.

Pray for my son. He just left for Army basic training and for OCS. You will understand our mixed feeling.

I'm sorry to hear of your husband. I was there in 1971, 196th Infantry based In Da Nang's 24th Corp. We ran missions by the DMZ from Phu Bai. Viet Nam was the best thing that ever happened to me since I was spared and a month before I left gave my life to the Lord. I really don't have a problem with what Dave said at all. I think we're all getting too sensitive again. Nothing like the army to make a person grow up. By the way, I saw the movie and really liked it.
