Do you know what Augustine had to say regarding his belief in the Gospel?

Yes I do. And what does that have to do with his strong belief in the Paramount Authority of Scripture? Augustine was part of the Church in the 4th century (not yet totally corrupt). He wasn't even forced to believe Peter was the Rock. What do you think he would have said if he had been around in the 16th century? He probably would have been convicted of Heresy and "died" while under house arrest.
