I lived in Burke VA for a year and loved it (course I was a kid). Southern manners just outside the beltway. I lived in Burke ("the Oaks") from '79-'95 (except college) and my parents still have a house there.
"Southern manners" is now quite a stretch for anything north of Fredericksburg (and even that is losing it).
