What, would be the different look at your family's faith that could/would satisfy your requirement here? Any general thoughts? Big differences, little differences? Acceptence? Forgiveness? Compassion? Do they reject you in some way?

First remember you asked for this, so don't slit my throat, then say thank you:), also remember when I made the first statement I said clearly I was not trying to offend anyone.

My family does not reject me. We do not speak of God at their request. What would satisfy my requirement is that I am always hoping that I will be able to reconcile what the catholics beleive about salvation with the bible, I am sorry but that hasn't happened yet.

Thanks very much for answering. I do see your dilemna. In the way it is currently defined, I don't see any way out of it.

Unless…

Maybe Matthew 22:37:

" Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
What do you think? Is it possible God might grant your family eternal life based on these verses?

ok. how about these verses:
"… Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
Pretty close, eh? Do you think, reading what Jesus said here, that God may grant your family eternal life?
