Im agreeing with the Catholics in principle. That principle being that if you do things with meaning that increase your relationship with God, then by all means do it. If you are doing something because the church said so, or bobby said so, or in vanity than I would caution one agianst it, because there is no life in it. Thank you. I would like to say that if the Church demands such a thing from people it is in the interest of growing such good habits. Sometimes we need a push.

There is a danger in forcing people to do things in the church (like tithing, fasting, etc) because it can lead to legalism and lose life. Lose revelation. Do it because you feel God is asking it of you. Do it because it will draw you closer to God.
