i read on another thread that that machine can put a .30 caliber slug onto every square inch of a football field in one minute.

The original AC-47 Puffs had six miniguns and fired 36,000 rounds per minute. I think it would put one round in every square foot in a minute. The current ships fire fewer but larger rounds.
