I think that they are worse. They have had every advantage, they have repudiated them, AND they are destroying the very means we have to do better by and for nature. These people have no goal, no method, and no means to verify that their plans are working. They are destroying an economy that could fund habitat management enterprise. Worse, IMHO their preference for preservation as a management ethic will backfire. Infestations of exotic species are too aggressive and too advanced to use such means.

They are going to turn the planet into a welfare case, a truly perilous course.

No they are not - they may have the arrogance, but not the power. There is a much greater silent majority in the world that cannot remain silent ant tolerant of this much longer. Have faith.
