I've got a care package ready to send. It's got envelopes, writing tablet, two big bags of candy (sealed in the bags), deoderant, hand lotion and disposable razors. I wanted to send some baby powder (my husband can't live without the stuff) but couldn't find any that were sealed and feared it might leak out in the box and cause an uproar. I also enclosed a picture of my two jedis and myself and a short note.

I'm sending it to:

Any Service Member
USS Enterprise
CVN 65
FPO AE 09543-2810

Do I need to write anything else on there besides my return address, or should I word it differently? Thanks for the tips on things to send, I'm intending on doing this pretty frequently.

That's great 2Jedismom!

A couple more tips for ya...
Servicemembers have been instructed not to open mail from unknown senders. I fear that any packages sent to "any soldier" may be discarded.

Ideally you would want to send it to a specific soldier who knows it is coming.
You can do this by sending post cards to "any service member" first and offering care packages and requesting instructions on how best to send them. It's also important to have a specific address because the mail handlers, however unfortunate, will hoard the goods for themselves. I speak from experience.
You can also get specific names and addresses thru family, friends and perhaps any local military bases.
