Hi catpuppy, Yes, I saw him. He was wonderful. Did you see that tear glistening on his cheek when his good friend Judge Al Gonzales finished introducing him ? I lost it.

"...They will not take this country down.

We will not be cowed, and we're certainly not going to be divided. The evil ones, as well as the rest of the world, are learning that we're a nation made up of many cultures, many races and many religions. But we are one strong nation.

We've suffered loss together, we have entered a mighty struggle together, and we will prevail together. The diversity of America has always been, always been, a great strength of this country"

He makes me so proud. :)

I do know Win 4.x (both 9x and NT) usually reads the CMOS clock only at the beginning of a session, trusting the CPU clocking to keep the on-screen clock updated. I have seen the screen clock lose time before, only to find CMOS not lose the time; I just haven't seen CMOS lose the time as well (or at least not refresh when I shut down the offending programs and force a clock refresh). I also hadn't seen that much computer lagging before (or since), even with a similar load.

I think I narrowed it down to some auto-loaded CD-RW software I bought earlier this week that got fragmented onto a part of my hard drive that's inexplicably slower than the rest of the drive. Between the defrag and shutting down that program, I think I temporarily solved that problem (until I break down and buy a new hard drive).

People with C: prompts were considered well-to-do. How about just an A: prompt (B: prompt was a virtual drive.)

My first computer didn't even have disk drives.

Well, after seeing the FR server set-up, I can see you have came a long way since then. hehehehe!!

And for some reason I was under the impression that you were younger than me. But I never owned a computer before 1995 anyway, and that was a tricked out Mac. After that I went straight to RH Linux 4.1. I was VERY reluctant to pick up the Windoze OSes... but I did it anyway.

If memory serves, aren't you also a PHP enthusiast?? I certainly love that language for server-side web development. Are you using MySQL for the backend here, or some other SQL package???
