While your argument is plausible and should be considered, I don't think you prove it. The lesson of the 20th century, and of many other centuries is that given certain circumstances any culture can commit terrible crimes. Check out
this article on Jihad and the theory of the "just war". As with other religions, what Islam says depends a lot on what you want it to say, and what you bring to it. Certainly the history of our civilization indicates that this is true of Christianity or Judaism as well.
