Hard to believe that a 15-yo knew about this and it managed not to get out to anyone else who may have alerted authorities. Also, that a teacher, after hearing a student say such a thing, would not say ANYTHING to anyone.

Every last one of these Muslims should be deported immediately where they should be playing catch with 2000lb bombs. This is a war against Islam but we didn't declare it THEY DID!

If this is true, looks like the whole Arab world knew about it in advance.

Middle Eastern employees who may not have shown up for work at the World Trade Center that morning.

A nice way to 'dissapear'. As much as the ones who didn't go to work should be investigated, the ones who are 'missing' also should. There should be surveillance on those associated with (family and friends) any 'missing' foreign nationals from any suspect country. I don't want to see any innocents harrased, but an eye kept out for anyone who is supposed to be dead, what better cover.

Boy in Dallas suburb predicts start of WW III day before attacks

The day before terrorists attacked New York and Washington, a fifth-grader in a Dallas suburb told his teacher World War III would begin the next day, school officials have told the FBI.

The boy was absent from school the day of the attacks, Sept. 11, and the following day, but has been at school since then, said Rhonda Lucich, a director of elementary education for the Garland Independent School District.

Lucich said the boy approached his teacher on the afternoon of Sept. 10 and casually told her:

"Tomorrow, World War III will begin. It will begin in the United States, and the United States will lose."

Lucich said the child's statements were passed along to the FBI. She said she did not know whether the agency had acted on the tip. An FBI spokesman could not be reached for comment.

Lucich said school officials are concerned, but not alarmed.

"It is one of those things I sincerely want to believe was coincidental," Lucich said.

Lucich declined to name the elementary school involved. She said she was told about the boy's comment by his teacher and the school's principal two days after the Sept. 11 attacks.

She said the boy is multiracial but that she does not believe his ethnicity includes a Middle Eastern background.

U.S. officials believe Middle Eastern terrorists linked to Saudi Arabian exile Osama bin Laden are responsible for last week's attacks on the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon.

Garland is a northern suburb of Dallas. Two charities in the neighboring suburb of Richardson have been investigated in the past for possible ties to Palestinian terrorist organizations.

The Global Relief Foundation Inc. and the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, both based in Richardson, have been investigated on allegations they raised money for Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization. Both organizations have denied such activity. School officials closed the school on Sept. 12, but FBI agents and city police combed the building the following day. They searched the backpacks and lockers of various students with Middle Eastern backgrounds, and spent several hours interviewing them in a locked room.
Where's Sharpton on this? Where's the ACLU? This is blatant racial profiling! Not to mention a direct assault on their dignity and self-esteem!!

The student pointed out a third-story window of New Utrecht High School toward the Trade Center and said, "Do you see those two buildings? They won't be standing there next week," according to three police sources and a city official familiar with the investigation. They said the comment came in the midst of a heated political discussion the student was having with his teacher in an English class for Arab-American students.

On Late Show with David Letterman, Dan Rather mentioned a story that he insisted he wouldn't be able to prove but that he would relate nonetheless: Members of a Muslim community in either N.Y. or N.J. all gathered on an apartment building's rooftop the morning of the attack and awaited the promised atrocities. The story goes they were heard to be cheering as they watched the jets make their impact.

FWIW: New Utrecht High is the alma mater of Gabriel Kaplan, and had 15 minutes of fame starring as "James Buchanan High" in the opening to "Welcome Back Kotter."

A veteran city police detective familiar with the case said investigators have been learning that many people in New York's Arab-American community had heard rumors about the Sept. 11 attacks before they occurred.

If true, this speaks volumes about the sentiments and morality of the Arab-American community in this country. None of them had the conscience to inform the authorities of the rumors that a massive terrorist attack was about to come down?

the agents tried to question their father, who chastised them for harassing his children, they said.

Ya, and the Taliban doesn't "harass" any of their citizens. It ticks me off that these people are so aware of their "rights" in America and use them to their advantage when it serves their purpose, yet laugh at us for them. Makes me sick.

With all of this was so well known "on the street", why was there NO investigating going on by the FBI/CIA?
What were they DOING that was more important than investigating links to their #1 terrorist?
(Or were they investigating and it was bungled or ignored?)
I ask this only because they are currently getting MUCH wider powers to "fight terrorism"
when it sounds as though they already had all they needed, but just didn't bother to use it.

I made this same point (as the article) by logical deduction shortly after the hijackings and was accused of being "alarmist" and "racist." Many in the so-called moderate American Muslim community had to have heard from the perpetrators grossly anti-American rhetoric with at least vague inferences about coming retribution. It is simply a matter of human behavior. These hijackings were a large operation with many players. They were not all disciplined in their behavior, as shown by the last nights of drinks and night clubbing. There is no way the 50 or more of those involved remained isolated with their thoughts on every visit to a mosque, cultural center, night clubs or parties frequented by their American Muslim brethren. Things had to have been said or alluded to which most of us on this forum, if we had heard it, would have reported those remarks to the police or FBI. Why were alarm bells not sounded from somewhere in the mass of 7 million American Muslims? If we refuse to face the answer to that question, we will all find out the hard way in the possibly not so distant future as Muslims become more numerous and powerful here in the U.S.

"There are 33 species of snakes in this country. 31 of them are poisonous."

"How do we tell them apart?"

"With a ratio like that you can make a broad and sweeping generalization - Kill them all."

From "Chickenhawk" by Robert Mason, a book on the Vietnam War.

And racial / ethnic profiling is wrong, right ?

Anyone knowing the attacks were to take place and NOT report it to the FBI should be arrested or deported immediately! Wouldn't prior knowledge of a crime, institute aiding and abetting in such crime?

One more thing: If 13 year olds in the US can be tried as an adult, why the HELL are these f'n Muslim high school students allowed back into a school I fund with my tax dollars!? Why aren't they behind bars!? Grrrrrrr!
