There's the "after Memorial Day and before Labor Day" Magisterium. The "Just used by a little old lady to drive to Church on Sunday" magisterium.

Seriously, the "ordinary" Magisterium, is just that -- the normal everyday decision makers at the Vatican.

The "extraordinary" Magisterium would be the rare event when all of the bishops of the world gather for a council, like Vatican II.
