1) Approach dumb rich ignorant student talking about "peace" and saying there should be, "no retaliation."
2) Engage in brief conversation, ask if military force is appropriate.
3) When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
4) Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence."
5) When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.
6) When he gets back up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that would, "be awful and he should not cause more violence."
7) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence.
8) Punch him in the face again, harder this time.
Repeat steps 5 through 8 until they understand that sometimes it is necessary to punch back.
Two hundred and twenty six years later, this gentleman's insight re the real scum of the earth, pacifists, is still valid and very true!
The problem is that these anti-war protesters are using their websites to organize a number of demonstrators and brainwash kids with third way socialist propaganda.
These websites need to be FReeped on a regular basis.
You don't how good that makes an old grampa and sailor feel. My wife's younger brother was with the big Red One and returned after his one year tour in Nam to San Francisco, SFO, to catch a plane to the Midwest to go to his home and family! He was spit on as he and his buddies deplaned their plane that landed at SFO! He still can't talk about it 30+ years later.
I was involved in the Cuban crisis and for about 2 years after the crisis while in Navy uniform, we couldn't buy a drink and or a meal when we wore our uniforms on liberty. Appreciative Americans would not let us spend our money. Right before I got out of active duty our ship came to NYC for the fair. Word got out that our ship had been in the Cuban crisis, and this was 20 some odd months later.
A bunch of us were standing in line to buy tickets to see the Rockettes. A limo pulled up and the driver called to me. He had tickets front center for 20 of us. There were only 15, and I gave the tickets to some Army guys in uniform. The driver told us to go to one of the top restaurants in that area after the show. We did, and everything had been paid for by the person in the limo, who we never saw and did not want to be known except to say thank you!
Flash forward 4 years, and I go to my last two week active duty in the Naval Reserves, in the NE in the summer. We had orders not to wear our uniforms to the duty station. We were ordered to wear civilian clothes. When we left the station to go to a restaurant, a bar or just sight seeing, we had to leave our uniforms at the base and wear civilian clothes!
We lived in the DC area at that time, and because the hostility towards military people, I decided to get out of the reserves and not reup. I was afraid that some kook might follow me home from a reserve meeting and try to harm my family! We had an 18 month old and a three year old at that time!
As you noted very wisely, this war is for your generation. I would add also for the next generation and for my grand kids and the ones to come! Hopefully there are whole lot of young people like yourself with your insight!
Thank you!
