Has anyone else noticed that replays of video of the planes hitting the WTC towers has ceased, not just gone to a trickle, but have ceased.
Myself, I think it is important to keep a reminder of that broad-daylight, unprovoked, vividly horrid atrocity in front of this nation and the world to remind them why we are doing what we are doing militarily.
Whats the deal here? We are going out of our way (in the general national media sense) to provide all kind of apologists for Muslims and Islam to the point where you would think that THEY are the victims.

It is an interesting point you make, Danno. Without being morbid, there must be a way to continually remind Americans of the horrific loss and devastation.

And forget about EVER seeing those photos of people jumping out of the windows to avoid being incinerated. Those'll stir ya' up...SSZ

Everyone has seen them. No one will ever forget. I look away now when they are on screen. I don't need to see them anymore.

Out of sight, out of mind.
Political Correctness is dying, and on life support.
It's time to forget the dead, and think about the racism, the pregnant Afganistines who may need abortions, the sharing of the wealth, the homosexual agenda....
the Socialist revolution movement was so close..but it's slipping....slipping....

If there were 7,000 fatalities, how many were injured?
I think they have put the muzzle on covering the maimed for a reason. I have seen a few, but not very many.
I think it's all part of the grand plan. Gov't and media, hand in hand, as opposed to the original intent.

One concern with the repetition of the images was the effect on young children. It got so the footage was even being played in news ads and breaks during regular programming.

They're still on all my magazine covers.

REMEMBER

There were something like 600 injured. Very few of them seriously. This was a "few bruise" or "you're dead" event. They happen.

One of the big 3 abc/cbs/nbc called for a halt of showing it. Once FOX followed that was the last we saw. I agree with you on keeping these images vivid in the mind. The longevity of the campaign depends on public support and reminders on a daily basis, although morbid and not sanitized for PC-ness, it is two of the three immediate reasons we are in conflict.
Adding to that, Osama did A good job of reminding us, just yesterday. :-)

I downloaded these videos to preserve the evidence.
I am willing to share them but I want a place to post them without giving any personal information.
A little help please?

... how many were injured?Last I heard, 8,000 people sustained injuries.

I couldn't agree more. Show the footage. Often. We need to see it, especially in the weeks and months ahead when the weak among us will call for an end to the violence. As for the networks bosses that think we shouldn't see the terrorism, how come they aren't also calling for the Holocaust Museum to be shut down and bulldozed?

Alas...but it seems we ARE forgetting (not you and I or other common sense FReepers) as we are seeing more and more commentators/pundits/leaders wanting to micromanage our defensive response and caving in to, "...but-what-if-we-strike-back-and-get-all-of-muslims-mad-at-us-or-the-terrorists-punish-us-with-another-wave-of-attacks..." mentality.
Arguably our response should have been much swifter being that we had to move when our and the world's resolve was ripe, giving due respect to timing. Imagery of this type I feel, regrettably, is necessary to sustain resolve.

The media wants us to forget about it, they don't want us to stay angry.
