I was surfing the channels and saw Helen Thomas give her speech. I'm frankly surprised that Clinton could walk on the stage after the hickey Helen planted on his ass with that speech!! Quote: no other President did more to combat terrorism than Clinton (papaphrased). That hag!

Actually, my wife is at this event tonight. The group is ASAE, I believe. I think it might stand for American Society of Association Executives. It's an association of association executives -- like the many, many associations that exist out there for social, technical, or professional groups. The speaker series they host every year is usually very top notch - despite the low regard I have for tonight's speaker.

I went to one of these last year with my wife to hear Cal Ripken, Jr. get interviewed for over an hour by George Michael (sportscaster here in DC), covered just about his entire life -- just a completely riveting talk that just cemented in my mind what an absolute class act that guy is.
