First, thank you Canada. Second, if you hadn't let the socialists disarm you as well as your military .....

Perhaps Canadian conservative's voices have been heard among the liberal legions there. Many of my conservative friends in Canada have felt under seige for many years, perhaps the opportunity has arisen for them to take back their country, I truly hope so.

The new deployment will almost double the 2,157 Canadian troops already serving overseas in
NATO and United Nations missions.
Our good neighbors to the north do lots of heavy lifting in peace mission, with little
recognition.
Thanks to them for coming along...even if some politicians slowed the deployment.

I have many relatives from my mother's side who are Canadiens. Some are conservative, but most are liberal. All of those that I have spoken with or e-mailed are appalled at PM Cretien's namby-pamby response to the WTC bombing. A lot of Canadiens perished in the buildings. Even my liberal cousins are for action, even if it means body bags for Canadien soldiers. Cretien is not a popular fellow at this time. As for that feminist moron Thobani--yowsa! One relative believes that Thobani and Cretien should be locked in a room together for 48 hours. (Exact words from an e-mail from my Aunt Lucille--a liberal!)
This morning, I received word from my cousin Miles about the fleet. He and his family are proud that their country will finally contribute something other than words of sympathy to this fight. I'm humming "O Canada" as I type...

Good new indeed from your front. American conservatives feel sieged by Canadian liberals too, believe it or not.

Canada lost some of her citizens in the attack on America. As an American, I never doubted Canada would be there. Thank you Canada!

Yeah, Canadien liberals can be a pretty nasty bunch when their socialist dreams are interrupted by reality...

How many fishing boats are they sending? The best thing they could do is keep our lads (and lassies) suppled with fresh fish and chips. If their army deploys, maybe we can give them snow removal duty in the Khyber Pass.

Canada has been on a wild arms build-up.
Yesterday, I recounted a quote from a senior Canadian offical pressed about the country's NATO committements:
"We have 17 ships, and some of them can even defend themselves."
Well, now they have 18!

If you are really ex USAF you should know better than to make a remark like that- unless you swept out the hangars or something like that.
