All I am saying is calm down and quit over reacting to somehting that isnt even confirmed yet.

Just like the Greyhound nut.

Russian plane that was shot down.

The retarded kid who tried to get into the cockpit at Ohaire today.

I wouldnt at all be suprised that this guy has Anthrax, because he worked with him. I was merely reasponding to the guy who sounded like he was about to piss all over himself.

the number of spores to make you sick depends on your immunity. If you inhale fewer spores and if your immune system is weak, then you'll still get sick (although the incubation time could be longer). If the incubation time is longer, hopefully you'll get more time to get diagnosed and get the right antibiotics. If you get a face full of the stuff, then you end up like the unfortunate man who just passed away.

The state government was told that the Virginia victim had either been an employee of or a contractor for The Sun, Marcus said.

I think its safe to conclude that we now know why the terrorist were inquiring about crop dusters. They had anthrax and were looking for a way to distribute it. Perhaps they tried several times to distribute the spores in other various ways and then concluded that a crop dusting plane might achieve better dispersal. We should probably assume that this building had anthrax placed into the ventilation system. Everyone in the building was exposed, propbably only a few or small percentage will exhibit symptoms. They probably put the anthrax in the building just before 9/11/01. This would be an incubation period of 3 to 4 weeks. We should probably also assume that they may have tried other dispersal methods before they committed suicide. Now the FBI needs to come clean and let us know if any of the suicide terrorist had traces of anthrax anywhere in their residence. We need to know if the anthrax terrorist are dead or are still out there experimenting with dispersal methods.

Like I said a couple of weeks ago, I would have dropped a tac nuke on every terorist camp within Afghanistan the wednesday after the WTC and Pentagon attack. We need to give these terrorist the fear of god or at least something very very powerful. They are using weapons of mass destruction on us. Death toll currently over 5,000.

I agree that we don't need to panic, but I won't make fun of anyone who stockpiles anti-biotics.

No hoax. The detail quoted above is a few new paragraphs which have been added into what was getting to be an old story.

Let me add my vote to the "calm down" (at least a bit, anyways) lobby. It seems 99.9% likely this guy was in the same building as the other two. In other words, this isn't an indication of a second attack, just an indication of another victim from a known attack.

Not that I don't understand your feelings. I've already packed up and moved out of the big city for this exact reason.

You know, as gross as this sounds, people have an unconscious habit of, (pardon my French,) picking their noses. It is almost a reflexive and nervous, or natural action, nearly impossible not to do, hardly ever thinking about it. Get this stuff on your fingers and wipe your nose, scratch it, or just do what everyone does and won't talk about. Bam, trouble. It would be a real good idea to be very, very aware of the unconscious things we all do. Being alert now could be the difference between life and death. Literally.

FReepers need to know good epidemic hygene practices. Live them and teach them. Ask your grandmothers at the least. Our half century of medical miracles has lulled us into a high risk ignorance of practical public health.

We are at total war and cannot wait for fatal lessons on our homeland battlefield.

This is a war of annihilation. Those SOBs want to kill your family and everyone you know.

That's what the FBI meant when they said there was a 100% of another terror attack, they knew people had already been infected with Anthrax, and that is was only a matter of time before they started showing symptoms! (That's my paranoid conspiracy theory, do you like it? I don't really believe it, but it's a good theory!)

If I was one of those strippers they hung out with the last night before committing suicide, I might think about getting myself on antibiotics right now.

Of course, I know none of you do that. Much too cultured, aren't ya?

Doubt it. One of the reports says authorities think between September 23 and 25.

It seems to me that crop dusting planes are no longer a viable option. The reason being, once one is spotted in an unusual area, the CDC and FBI will descend on that area so fast, and distribute antibiotics to everyone so rapidly, that few if any people will be infected.

I think the cropdusters were an option up until September 11, but not any more.

I think that any effective dispersal of spores must be undetected or unsuspected for at least a few weeks in order to infect a large number of people past the 'point of no return'.

You know, it's pretty sick that I'm starting to think like a terrorist. But I guess we have to, these days, don't we?

Not a hoax. Just see your doctor if you get sick. No different than at any other time, right?

Too bad the GD Clinton Administration killed private healthcare in our nation.

Get this one Freepers... (and I just joined this board!)

Think about this... if your town as a couple of doctor's offices for Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Pediatrics... those offices are either owned by a medical group or the doctor him/herself.

There are very few strong solo offices in California now.

Why?

Because the HMO's do something called "capitated" contracting. In capitated contracting, the office is paid a flat-fee REGARDLESS of how much work they do for you. Most of the time, the HMO pays an IPA (Independent Physicians' Association) about $50.00 per month for you. The IPA then contracts with individual doctor's offices for about $9.00 So, out of the $120.00 per month you pay the insurer, only $9.00 gets to the physician.

Now, if the hapless doctor ends up in the a biological warfare front line, the poor guy goes broke. He won't have enough money for drugs, supplies, and vaccines.

Who supported the HMO industry and why is the system like this?

YOU GUESSED IT.

HILLARY.

Now, guess what happens. We don't have enough supplies, offices, doctors, hospital beds, or test facilities to diagnose this thing.

But, alas, GRAY DAVIS claims that his administration will support the people and train "thousands" of health care providers. Gov. Gray-out is nuts. You can count the number of testing facilities in Southern California equipped to identify Anthrax on one hand. You see, thanks to the same people, they passed a law called CLIA that forced diagnostic tests (like finding the germ) out of doctor's offices. So, now, instead of the doctor making a diagnosis in 20 minutes, it takes 48 hours.

AND, the doctor STILL doesn't get paid for it (because he's "capitated")!

Guys, I'll bet the dead guy in Florida was insured through an HMO plan. Wish someone in the Palm Beach press would find out.

The doctor in charge of Florida's Health Dept. stated that two employees of the Sun could not be contacted for testing -- no one knew where they were -- and he asked for assistance from the public for their whereabouts. Possibly, this man in VA, who works for the Sun, could be one of the two missing employees.
