Malcolm Garris and the whole Lew Rockwell limp-wrists can literally kiss my caramel colored backside (I hope you are reading this, Malcolm, cuz it's to you).

Lew Rockwell's site is supposed to be a bastion of libertarianism, southern style. Okay, I don't have a problem with southern points of view, and Myles Kantor is my boy. But this is taking the southern gentleman stance a bit too far.

My god, we just lost nearly 7,000 Americans on our own soil, and all this fool has to say is that we who support our Commander-in-Chief and his administration for battling terrorism are war-mongering. ! ! !

Listening to this nut seriously blurs the distinction between so-called libertarians and the looney leftist peaceniks. What's the difference? There is none.

These two philosphies prove that in there is a point where "differing" views come full-circle.

Taking my cue from President George W. Bush (fool, he is NOT a "Jr."), I will make no distinction between the leftist "peaceniks," and those who aid their cause by dampening our American citizens' right and spirit to defend themselves, no matter what label they attack to their political philosophies.

If there's really such a "crackdown" going on, then why is this thread still here?

I'm new here myself.. about a month..There seems to be a turf war going on occasionaly. Its not too bad, but I think its just product of change. People are always resistant to change of any kind. Good or bad. DU has been posting crap and that doesn't help matters. Caution is best at this time and I believe the monitors are doing a yeomans job.

Leave it to a Sabretooth to post a babe with meat! Cheryl over Ann for the eyes, Ann over Cheryl for the ears.

Oh yeah, Malcom, you're tired anti-war rant has less clothes than Cheryl. A bit more originality would have made it a tad more bearable than a root canal sans ether.

Well said! But please don't blame it on the South ..... I'm a Southerner born and bred. Blame it on just plain kookiness ..... and unfortunately, pockets of that are found everywhere.

Most worthy of a repeat.

Oh, no. I'm not blaming the south at all (my parents are from St. Francis County, Arkansas, although I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio). But Lew Rockwell's site definitely carries the southern theme. That's all I was referring to.

I believe that all of those states in the south were red on the electoral map, right? :-)

So was Ohio, by the way.

Okay, I'll jump, since I am such a free thinker and get a lot of flack. Might as well draw a little fire here too. The more I read, the more I think that the 'war on drugs' is a liberal game, and not a real serious issue to the conservatives anymore. Reading National Review, it seems that there are many conservatives, like myself, that think the war on drugs is a lost cause and should be reevaluated. Since I am not a mind numbed robot, it is nice to see respected people like Buckley agree with *me* on a subject. I do love messing with people about this subject, hehe, cause I am a nurse, and this is supposed to make me know better or something. But that is another thread, isn't it?

Yes, I think all the southern states were red (with some pockets of blue within some of them) ... especially Tennessee and Arkansas ..... heehee!

And I think it's people like Rockwell who tend to give the South a bad name so it makes me doubly mad!

I'm a libertarian that believes the military is one of the few things that the government should run and it should be funded to the teeth. I completely support Bush in this war against terrorism. I am a hawk. We must root out Osama and his nest of vipers without mercy. Please do not paint all libertarians with the insane Lew Rockwell brush.

I feel you on that, Godel. I truly do.

But I'm sure you understand my point where some liberarians are using the exact same language as the leftwing basketcases in their effort against our war effort. I mean, damn! It appears that they are trying to accomplish the same goals.

I'm not blaming libertarians like you, but it is these types of libertarians who give people like you one hell of a bad name.

Kinda reminds me of that saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Know what I mean?

Ah, but the True Believing Conservatives will label you a Commie for claiming that there could ever be a True Conservative who believes that the war on drugs is a lost cause.

Anyone (in their opinion) who could believe such a thing must not be a True Conservative. (Of course, every time that someone points out Jim Robinson's stance on the matter, they just cover their ears [or eyes, I guess] and sing loudly to themselves, reciting the words to that old standard, "I Can't Hear You Anymore".)

I'm sure they'll be more than happy to let you know how they feel.

(And now that the suspense is over, I'll be able to sleep much better, thank you.)

"Cheryl over Ann for the eyes, Ann over Cheryl for the ears."

Don't be too hasty. Love Ann, but Cheryl is a Republican.
