Possible variation of counter-demo signs:
"Al Q'aeda MISSED Transamerca Tower (in SFO) &
Silicon Valley,
& Stanford,
& Berkeley (U.Cal.).
"Maybe they'll have bettter luck next time!."....
Then a generic couter-demmonstaration might add:
"With the Help of these
Pro-Terrorist
pseudo-Pacifist,
anti-American,
crypto-Nazi,
Commie Demonstrators who
Demand U.S. Surrender
to the Terrorists!"

Sorry--I didn't bring a camera. If the pictures that the paper took appear tomorrow, I'll scan 'em and post them up here.
To: jrherreid
And you had a beautiful day for it. God Bless America.

Thanks for the account! They've had the streets to themselves for decades, must demoralize them no end to see our side out there.

Freepin' Excellent! These Peaceniks have gone too far. Another stupid sign was "Art, not War". As an art student and freelance illustrator, that one really bugged me. 80% of artists give the other 20% a bad name!
If I had thought of it beforehand, I would have run off more copies of David Horowitz's "Open Letter to Anti-War Demonstators" for hand-outs. A co-worker and I passed out a bunch of those at our local Jesuit college, USF.

Freepin' Excellent! These Peaceniks have gone too far. At Mass this morning a friend of mine told me that before 9/11 she thought patriotism in this country had died. Now she knows that it was only sleeping!
I'm glad these peaceniks are out and about, albeit not in force. Many Americans who would have paid attention to them in the 60's, or even the 80's are looking at them with different eyes since 9/11. They see the faces of people who HATE America, and I'm sure they are beginning to question the motives of anyone who supports them. There's nothing like critical thinking, is there?
