The people of California held an election and voted 3 to 1 in favor of proposition 187...

Yet, if you listen to pundits today, they'll say that politicians that embraced Prop 187 are toxic. Is that true in California (where I plan to move in two to three years) or is that just the usual pap of the liberal media?

The press's reaction the the passage of prop 187 is the perfect example of the 'lie repeated often enough becoming the truth'.

They spun 187 to death in the years following it's passage, and claimed every setback suffered by anyone remotely associated with it as the result of their support of it.

All lies, but it sure got the desired effect. The state GOP is so shell shocked they have ceased to be an significant force in CA politics.
