Thanks Billie.
The price of liberty, ya know...
Our nation is certainly getting a wake up call concerning what that price really is, eh?
Out here in the hinterlands, aka flyover country, every little town is swathed in red, white and blue. It's inspiring and very encouraging.
Thank God for all of those who have kept the flame of patriotism burning until the time when a raging fire is called for in the defense of liberty...
Bless you for doing your part.
To: Billie
Thanks for the headsup!
Oooooo,Captain Billie can fly with me ANY time!
Ooo,Ooo,Give me an order,I must obey my Captain!
Besides I'm just a sucker for a woman in uniform.(So to speak.)

Please everyone remember to say a prayer for our men and women who are in harm's way tonight.
They're taking the fight to the enemy tonight for us and our great country.
And don't forget those that are on embassy duty all over the world; they're especially vulnerable.

Looks real good, Snow Bunny. I got a Brother-In-Law a bit early out of this War. My Sis and her soon-to-be got married a day after he caught wind of shipping out, rather than waiting until next Spring. He's part of the Home-Land Defense. Former Paratrooper, now an MP. Gotta keep the shores safe!
My Sis doesn't know when the real ceremony will take place. She was married in a business suit while he sported his military BDU's!
Nice digital collage, above. Between my University classes, I hope to be stopping back from time to time.

I imagine most churches did as our pastor did this morning, asking for prayer for all those in harm's way - before the shooting commenced.
It was thoughtful of you to include the embassies, and we should include as well as others not military who serve - or are going to serve - in peripheral services.

"as well as others not military who serve - or are going to serve - in peripheral services." You're exactly right.
There are many people all over the world who serve the military who are not military.
They are potential targets for the terrorists.
I guess I thought of the embassies because of the threats to our embassy in Indonesia, which I've driven by so many times.
It's like so many others in far flung places I've been - an island whose surrounding waters can turn violent overnight and completely inundate it.

Could you please post that..... Adopt a Soldier link. I would really appreciate it so much. That is such an important link.
To: Snow Bunny, billie, And Thank You, USO!!!
Thank YOU for your caring and support. All during my time in the Navy, where ever I went, there was the USO, always ready with good munchies and hot coffee when we needed it. And the USO tours that I saw were spectacular, thanks to people like you Snow Bunny! And I'm absolutely positive, the USO will be there again now, and as long as there's a U.S. Military, ready to serve our nation in it's own unique way, to ease the pain and heartache and loneliness of forward deployment, where ever, whenever. So, again, Thank YOU!
Toward FREEDOM
To: WrenchChucker
Dear Wrench, thank you for sharing that. It is always good to share things like that and let others see just what is happening with the lives of our families that have those serving, here at home or far away.
I am so glad you posted about your sister and her hunny. Thank you again .
Please stop by often at the ole Canteen.
