This stirs a lot of memories, not just having been a child during WWII, but having been in
the U.S. Marine Corps at Parris Island during the Korean Conflict.
Spent a lot of time at the U.S.O., conversing and dancing with young men who soon were sent to fight in Korea.
I also performed in U.S.O.s in Charleston and Savannah, heading a Silent Drill Team of eight women...so many memories...!!
