I like your name, Focault's Pendulum ... you cognoscent/templar/mason person, you.HAR!

You have read Name of the Rose?!

If you have, I've my next question answered ... "Which one did you appreciate the most" ...as your chosen name addresses that.

Then again ... who wants a name which invites guesses all of the time?!

Huh??? In the name of the what??....Oh my screename! Anyone who has been here at Fr for some time, knows the story how I acquired my screename. For those of you here that are relatively new, I guess I will have to retell the erie tale

It happened one stormy night, over two years ago, while imbibing adult beverages, watching Ann Coulter on TV, and simultaneously surfing porn sites on the web. Ann casually mentioned Free Republic.com, and I reluctantly gave up trying to hack a membership page to Nude Pics of Gilligan's Mrs. Howell, and clicked on here.

I was transformed!!!!

Everything I ever was, up to that point, changed forever!!! The emotions I experienced overwhelmed me, and tears of unexplicable joy issued forth. Summoning up courage I did not know I possessed, my index finger, trembling tho it was, found a life of it's own, as it proceeded to click the "Register To Post" button.

Suddenly....a bright light flashed brightly, (I found out later it was my desk lamp shorting out from my tear ducts) and I was thrown from my chair, along with my drink, the bottle next to it, and a wad of Kleenex.

When I came to I discovered my cheap carpet had been stained in a pattern by my even cheaper scotch, spelling out "Look over there......with an arrow pointing to the right.

As I looked to my right side I was aghast to see one of my favorite books, "Foucault's Pendulum", by Umberto Eco, lying awash in $1.49 a quart scotch. I quickly grabbed the Kleenex and attempted to dab the jacket cover. I had apparently been rendered unconscious for some time, for the cover had been soaked through, and instead of drying it off, I accidently damaged it even further, by destroying the first U.

Hope that answers your question, thanks for your interest.
