They follow the same formula used by many of the folks around here.
Place a desire to say something, with a lack of anything to say, into a large mixing bowl.
Add a very large scoop of fantasy, and stir in equal amounts of paranoia and conspiracy.
Place the entire mixture into a pre-heated oven.
Monitor closely and remove from the oven when it's only half baked.
A week or so back, a third party news outfit (I forget which) reported that Debka -- rather than being a couple of teenagers -- is a couple of Israeli ex-intel guys with a lot of genuine sources.
Then a day or two ago, it was reported that the talibastards have been mixing bogus info with their actual comms (i.e., encrypted stuff from one cell to another etc.) in order to trick the "enemy" and to flush out leaks.
Put two and two together, and you see a likely explanation for Debka's mix of good and bad stories.
