I agree with you here - I think (?). I am however not quite sure what you meant by "especially the national security issues." A brief summarizing explanation with a couple of examples would be most enlightening.

Might have been nice to add something mentioning how FReerepublic has scooped the MSM so many times.

The article was written before most of the biggest scoops (the shuttle breaking up and Memogate come to mind).
