Okay, I'll bite. As a resident of the Republic of Panama (born and live here) what is the purpose of these threads?

Look for a MASSIVE attack on the Panama Canal by Terrorist as well!! This would ENTIRELY be within the realm of a massive terrorist undertaking such as this.... The Terrs will attempt to simultaneously attack BOTH ENDS of the Canal so as to deny us the usage of this STRATEGIC waterway....

I believe we have wording in our treaty with Panama to go back in if any nation tries to use that place for military purposes.....That will be the next war... The Chinese tried to lease an old navy base in cal from the clinton Regime and almost succeeded... We can thank Jimmy ( Peanut Brain ) Carter for this mess.. These dempocrats really suck.

"SOUND THE ALARM"

"Among the strategic facilities turned over to the Panamanian government was a deep underground intelligence facility. The facility is in Quarry Heights, where the U.S. Southern Command headquarters used to be located. In the middle of Ancon Hill, deep underground, was the Southern Command Intelligence Center. "From there we monitored and conducted intelligence operations for the Southern Hemisphere and Central America," a former intelligence official told me. "The place was top secret and built like a mini-Cheyenne Mountain" -the headquarters of the North American Aerospace Command in Colorado Springs that monitors worldwide missile launches and aircraft flights.

We just gave the whole facility to the Panamanians/Chinese," he said. Albrook Air Field, one of the facilities abandoned by the Pentagon, had been the base for regional surveillance operations for monitoring activities in Cuba and other parts of Central America. "There are many other military and intelligence facilities now gone," the former official lamented, including the Rodman Naval Air Station, which the Chinese had the option to lease, as well as military and intelligence facilities at Corozal, Corundu, Fort Clayton, Fort Sherman, and the Special Forces jungle training center. The former official said abandoning the military facilitites was a strategic mistake for the United States. "We will pay dearly for this as surely as the sun rises," he commented."

We might not be able to save Tiwan if our assets are spread too thin, ( thanks and F*** you B.C. ), but surely we can retake the canal if need be?

Oh, and similar sentiments to J. Carter.

For years I didn't believe half of what I read and heard about Clinton, terrorists, bin laden, China, Gore, Hillary, etc. Turns out it was all true and it is much WORSE than anything I had heard. If Hillary ever becomes president there will be no more USA. Wake up USA!!!!

When a Clinton-era-depleted US military is locked in a desparate struggle with 'peaceful' Muslims at home and abroad, look for China to 'offer' to help by moving very large numbers of troops into good-for-them-bad-for-us locations around the world.

A troubling scenario to say the least.

An FYI...Panama Canal Transition: The Final Implementation
In part...The Canal Becomes a Business
snip...While there will be no noticeable change in the technical operation of the canal, the PCA (Panama Canal Authority) will be free to manage the canal as a business, whereas under U.S. law the canal has operated mainly as a government service.
Businesses can be, and are, sold all the time!

Ensuring Things Go Well
snip...The transfer of the canal provides as opportunity for greater international cooperation. Major canal users, including Japan, Taiwan and China, plus several South American nations, all have important stakes in a smooth transfer and continued efficient operation of the canal. They may be willing to provide assistance to Panama in dealing with potential problems that can adversely affect the operation of the canal. Similarly, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Inter-American Development Bank should increase their attention to Panama during this critical transition and be prepared to lend assistance and advice if problems develop beyond Panama’s capabilities.
Seems like Panama has all the help they need.
I wasn't sure if ya'll had seen this or not. Lots of interesting stuff.
