Thank you for posting the Freeper Memorial. I did not know about it. I remember Old Atlanta, he was so delightfully fiesty at times, I just didn't know he was called to God, EdLinn too, and bcjohnson created some of the best best patriotic graphics with eagles, RR and heavyd. This is so sad, Barbara Olsen, now CHIEF.

Hi G-Rated, these are WWII Posters printed by different agencies of the U.S. Government. It is truly remarkable how the posters tell a vivid story of what life was like for the Americans who stayed at home working, growing their victory gardens, sacrificing, rationing, recycling scrap and fats from food, rubber, oil, not traveling by car or other sources of transportation, producing and building up our military strength, and signing up for civil defense jobs while our brave troops fought a war on two fronts.

I forgot to mention the web site where these posters can be found LIBRARY AT NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY.
