You got it, friend, and there is more than just the new moon calling the US to action on that glorious day, but let's not tell our adversaries how close they are to finding themselves in a world of hurt.

10/16, folks, just hang on and keep your yaps shut till then!

For Bin Laden to have succeeded in this game, he needed to hit a number of cities hard and suddenly to really paralyze our economy and our ability to act.

Precisely so. While the primary mission succeeded somewhat, in destroying the WTC, the secondary mission, to totally disrupt our economy and military command - and possibly civilian authority as well - failed miserably. It seems implausible that Al Qaeda or even Iraq has a real Plan B now that Plan A has failed and much of their M.O. has been discovered and their money cut off. The only thing I can see them trying now is if they really have some tactical nuclear missiles, to use them on our carrier groups now that the September 11 attacks have drawn them into the Middle East. But even if they try this, I believe we have anti-missile capabilites on all our large warships.

They have to know that they are really screwed now. They did not produce the kind of attack they expected from the U.S. and its "cowboy President", nor the reaction from the non-extremist Muslim countries that they expected. All they can really do is kiss their asses goodbye while they are praying to Mecca five times a day.

In the mean time, how many visas are being issued from friendly and non friendly muslim countries each day? How many potential terrorists are being let into the country each day, bringing with them god only knows...

Boy, you could type that again in 24 pt. BOLD!

The most effective tool in the battle against terrorism in America is DEPORTATION! Throw them all out RIGHT NOW! They are killers. They are here because our government let them in! They will keep killing us as long as they are allowed to stay here!

Your government doesn't care about your safety and security or they would take the obvious step of throwing all middle eastern males (foreign nationals) out of the country!!!(Of course, it would help if that incompetent federal government had actually kept track of HOW MANY there are and WHERE they are!...but, HEY, that's too much to ask of the federal government!)

I think we ought to demonstrate our ability to walk and chew gum at the same time. I believe there are more than a few "target rich" environments located in such choice locales as Iraq and the Sudan, no? Targets such as testing and development facilities for radical Islam's weapons of mass destruction. Saddam's chemical and biological weapons facilities need destroying and I see no time like the present. What are we worried about? The feelings of our glorious coalition partners, like Egypt? Or Uzbekistan?

Getting all caught up in catching Ossama is bad medicine. All our eggs in one basket and all that.

Thanks for some much needed common sense. I have to laugh to keep from getting pi$$ed off at some of the military 'experts' on this thread. You know, the guys/gals whose only military experience is getting their ass kicked in Risk.

The absolute last thing I want is to see our guys go in before they're ready. Hey, what's the rush? We are still on the offensive, and al-Qaida and the Taliban are trying to figure out what our next move is going to be. The bad guys are stuck, and they can't move around without showing up on our surveillance cameras.

It's working - yesterday, the Taliban shot off half of their remaining cluster bomb inventory as a show of force.

I'm not a military expert, either, but I did serve 8 years in the Army. Thanks to that experience, I DON'T get my ass kicked playing Risk! I must confess that I haven't played Risk in years. Civilization II is my favorite, and Civ III comes out 10/18!!! IOW, from 10/18 till the end of the year, I will not be able to be reached by society! Civ II addicts know what I'm talking about!

Well, this could mean that the guy has guts. I don't know if Powell is being too cautious or not. I do think that if he gets angry, I would not want to be on the receving end of this Colin.

LOL, but I don't think you have to worry. Powell wussed on taking out Sadam 10 years ago, he's wussing now every time he turns around. The man is BAD NEWS for What's Left of America.

Man, don't you know it. I remember field exercises in the NM and TX deserts when I was in the Army. You can see for miles when the moon is full.

But such elementary aspects of military common sense are not to be found among those experts whose military experience is relegated to board games.

Tuesday has nothing to do with it...

The transit of Mars, along with the Sun opposition Moon (new moon), in hard aspect to the US Mercury and Uranus, as well as those three in hard aspect to GeoW's Midheaven and Mars is the "sign of the right time"

Go, US, and go, GeoW! May the force be with us! Hope they have competent star watchers "over there", and are scared to death!

Oh, they know more about the Islamic extremists than they let on, at least most of the time. Buck Revell was in front of Hyde's Intelligence Committee this week, and showed a clip from the video "Jihad in America." They had all kinds of footage of the boys getting together calling for America's destruction in such exotic locations as KANSAS CITY and NEW JERSEY. Video means the feds have all of their faces, and had to have people on the inside to take all of that footage, and then present it to their handlers in the government. Of course the Congress people spent more time debating whether showing a few minutes of the video would offend Muslims rather than asking "Buck" just why the feds let these guys run around threatening to destroy us when the feds obviously knew who all of these cats are.

Compare the cool, analytical approach Revell takes toward KNOWN TERRORISTS running around the US threatening to kill us and the approach the government takes to some "taxpayer" (Re: CITIZEN) schub who is "stockpiling" deer rifles and shotguns.

Right on. GWB has an objective and a plan. It just takes time to put all the pieces in place.

Actually, right now is not a good time to launch an attack. Afghanistan is on the verge of overthrowing the Taliban government, once this takes place the Afghani's will support the new government and encourage the US to come and get Osama Been Porkin and will probably help us do it.

Until this is accomplished invading Afghanistan, will only solidify support for the Taliban.

When the Taliban fall, OBL's goose is cooked and I'm sure he knows this. You can bet our SF/Delta/Rangers are in places to intercept his attempt to leave the country.

OBL is right now exactly where GWB wants him, in the cross hairs.

First lets, weed out their supporters here and make sure they do not get back in.

Now there is some wisdom; we've arrested 500, there are probably at least another 1,000 sleepers in the U.S. maybe one in your, or my neighborhood

If nothing happens by the dark of the moon, I'll agree with you. Until then, it's prudent to wait and say nothing that may embarrass us later.
