There were also millions of dispossessed people after WWII in Europe. As one example, millions of Germans were moved out of East Prussia, Silesia, etc. They made new homes for themselves in present-day Germany. The U.N. recognized Israel in 1948, even if Arab regimes and Arabs aren't willing to do so. What's stopping the "dispossessed" from building their lives where they are today?
