I just got of the phone with Clement's press secertary in Nashville and she said this is an "inaccurate quote." The only time Clement addressed this topic was about 8 am on Wendesday when speculation was running wild after the first reports of a "Middle Eastern man with a box cutter" hit the wires. It is the only time he spoke publicly about it. They were pretty baffled about this report and I have faxed them a copy from their website. They want to know where the quote came from too.

The attacker entered the country in March of 1999 in the port of Miami on a 30 day visa but hung around. Haven't heard anything about the second question.
