BTW, Cardinal Egan IS ruffling his feathers here in front of the world synod. If he made any mistakes it was in passing political judgement on US foreign policy. He should stick to Catholicism or indict at least a dozen other countries on attrocities. He would have served himself better in speaking to the Catholic politicains about the condition of their soul. Straighten them out first.
