These are the immigrants I remember. They never took for granted what so many other of their American neighbors did. While I was born here, I learned how fortunate I was to be an American from so many of the people that immigrated. It's a wonderful story.

P.S. Can you imagine that someone stole the flag off of my mailbox?! I can't. I can't believe it! If they had knocked on my door, I would have gladly given it to them. My only hope is that they are flying it and did not burn it.

I can. There was a story down here the week after the attack, some kid got busted stealing flags. He had 40+ in his car.

The father was so embarrased.
