PLEASE!!! Don't you dare blame it on cats (they have shots, and are fixed and healthy and fed)..they get a bad rap as it is...poor things.
Concentrate on South florida...airport around the corner where they live....and the terorists lived here. Lantana is right by Delray beach..a few miles. About 7 of them lived here in Delray.
Do ALL of the feral cats have their shots or are more cats joining the group? I'm not sure at all that it's even possible that a cat with the disease COULD transmit this disease to a human in the airborne form. It's definitely possible to conduct it through skin contact if someone has a cut but then it's not pulmonary anthrax (which is what the fellow in FL has). Anyway, it's just a thought. We're looking for explanations beyond bio-terrorism.
