I knew it had to catch up to FReeRepublic,,,sooner or later..there were just too many.

I know... I had a feeling that we would lose one or more of our FReepers in the 9/11/01 tragedy, in either NYC or Washington DC.

This is horrible... so sad. Doubly sad to lose one of our own FReepers, and to lose one of the incredibly brave men of the FDNY. I think I may have participated in a rally or two with Chief John Moran (BCM) in Times Square.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. BCM will be sadly missed here at Free Republic.

First Chief and now this. I've spent most of the day in tears.

That thought has crossed my mind, too. I've wondered if there are others and if we'll ever find out why they simply stopped posting.
