"Hydrogen" in this context is an energy transport technology, oil is both an energy source and transport technology. You cannot replace oil with hydrogen alone. You must have an energy source. Ignore the First Law of Thermodynamics at your peril.

Now, now you can't expect a left-o-crat to understand physics. I mean come on, the Laws of Thermodynamics are racist.

Oh, it's also President Bush's fault that we don't have magical flying cars that get great mileage and run on the "alternative energy" source that would be found if the government would just spend more on the research.

Better yet, drill and drill and drill in Alaska, Montana and the Gulf and dig in Utah,

Precisely!

FYI, I have been telling people for several years to keep a weather eye on the Cuba/Central/South American regions- they are shaping up as an emerging hot spot that no-one seems to be paying much mind... yet!

The largest consumer of oil is soon to be China (and its military). Do you think the agreements between Venzuela and China have anything to do with mere market forces?

. yet!

Just watch the nay-sayers' jaws drop as layer upon layer of Castro sponsored terrorism is pealed
away and exposed, along with the manuverings of his new best buddy Hugo Chavez.

Chinese President Jiang Zemin, left, and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez exchange signed agreements at the theater Teresa Carreno in Caracas, Venezuela, Tuesday, April 17, 2001. Jiang and Chavez signed accords on agriculture, taxation and energy, agreeing to build a fuel plant here for export to China. China also extended a credit line to support Venezuelan exports to China.

Venezuela steps up army protection of oil industry--(09-20-01).....Maybe to protect it for himself? I believe the oil companies are wondering too.

I'm waiting to hear about the ChiComs offering their 'protection' services as well -- like they do for China National Petroleum in the Sudan.
