Hi, Amen, and thanks for all you've posted. Please flag me to anything else you post on them. Prayers also for our soldiers, those making plans.

Prayer bump, and thank you for the update.

Reports from the the church the Americans attend in Waco (Antioch) publicized in broadcast media tonight indicate that the women are NOT afraid, and they are putting their faith in God, and actually indicate that the women did NOT ask the president to delay attacks until their trial was over, as has been reported in some places.

Makes sense, because these are very faithful women. Keep praying.

"...and actually indicate that the women did NOT ask the president to delay attacks until their trial was over, as has been reported in some places."

THANK you for that insight -- as I posted in #17, the assertion by the lawyer that the US gov't should delay any action, seemed inconsistent with what I'd heard from the families.

That the families do NOT want the trial to affect what the US gov't plans to do, or needs to do, was underscored last night in an interview w/Dayna's father and a cousin. They said this is all in God's hands, and that Dayna would not want to hamper US actions.

Since this all has so many layers, I just continue prayers that the lawyer will have special insight into possibilities, and especially that the hearts of the Taliban justices will indeed be soft toward the many Christians (foreign and Afghan) who are at risk.

God, please give Dayna, Heather, Peter, Diana, Georg, Katrin, Margrit, and Silke the words they need to say to those around them. Please give them the strength and comfort through their hardship and uncertainty to keep them in good spirits. May they be able still to sing Your praises, with the freedom of soul and spirit that only You can give. In Jesus' Name, Amen -- let it be so.

Aid workers on trial in Afghanistan expected to resume within days -- latest info, w/this note from Weirdad:
Please remember to keep praying for Heather Mercer and Dayna Curry, two Christian American women who were in Afghanistan providing humanitarian aid; and for Australians Peter Bunch and Diana Thomas; and for Germans Georg Taubmann, Katrin Jelinek, Margrit Stebner, and Silke Durrkopf; and for the unidentified Afghan Christians under the same duress or worse.

Afghan Trial of Christian aid workers delayed -- 10/13 reuters "no terrorists here" news story. Note we've been seeing this headline ("trial delayed") since the beginning of August.

John, I was trying to use the "all" feature, but got this message: "Before you may post this message, the following must be corrected: Could not find anybody named 'ALL'". The "all" suggestion is a GREAT idea -- an "all" post makes getting updates to those interested much easier. Well, back to cut and paste for the moment. THANKS again for all you have done, and continue to do -- it sure is appreciated!!

hello this webmaster has never done this kind of post before. Please forgive if I do this wrong. This is to let those who are praying for the 8 Christian Aid workers know about our local Muslim (anonymous) who has also been praying and fasting for their release. He fasted for eight days and continues his special 8 unit prayer every day for them. He asked this webmaster to help him promote a campaign among Muslims for them to remind the Taleban of their duty for mercy and to release them. They were to send e-mails to a certain address. Christians are entitled to know that the results from your "fellow" americans who are Muslims was shameful. Those interested can visit www.islaminalaska.com for more info where there are two special pages devoted to this issue. The webmaster has now decided to also poll German and Australian Muslims to see if their concern for their fellow countrymen is as dismally shameful as that of "American", Muslims. No this is not a fake post by a fake Muslim, unfortunately it is for real. My prayers and the original faster's prayers are with all you others. May the peace and blessings of God be upon all those who care and his protections upon these 8 doers of beautiful deeds; shakur-abdel-Haleem

We are seeing the true grit of Christian women and they do need our prayers. I want to suggest that we all take this request to our Churches and pastors and enlist their prayers as well. The more the better. God be with them.

The prayers have been answered.

They are Free!
Praise
Jesus!

..."Today we've got incredibly good news," President Bush said after the aid workers were plucked from Afghanistan by military helicopters and taken to Pakistan. "Our United States military rescued eight humanitarian workers who had been imprisoned in Afghanistan."

..."Eight foreign aid workers, including two Americans, were safe in Pakistan Wednesday after being held in Afghanistan for three months by the Taliban for preaching Christianity, U.S. officials said.
Three U.S. special forces helicopters picked up the aid workers in a field near Ghanzi, about 50 miles southwest of Kabul, at about 4:40 p.m. EST, Pentagon officials said. The aid workers were flown to Pakistan, and appear to be in good health, officials said."

Thank God. Praise God. Praise Jesus. The release/rescue of these people is truly a miracle that only God, working through people, could have accomplished.

I have learned over the years that when the very thing happens that you have been praying for, you Thank God For It; and you acknowledge His answer to prayer; and you DON'T minimize it by saying that it just would have happened on its own.

I am sure this rescue will prove to be an interesting story in human terms, but it is even more momentous as a miraculous answer to the many, many prayers of many, many people. Thank You Lord!

How wonderful to see our prayers and petitions answered, so completely, beyond human belief. Every time I've seen news clips of Dayna and Heather smiling and waving I smile back at them, overjoyed at this outcome for all the prisoners. Thank God for these answers.
