Ya know I was wondering,
In the old days and by that I mean the really old days
Ya know When you could put thirty in as a PRIVATE!
When The most important quality in any member of any armed service was a williness to serve this country and defend it against all comers.
What changed That one overriding requirement?
I ain't buying the "war is a young man's game" idea,
There have been a lot of old farts that went to war and did their duty.
As I scratch my greying head I can't think of any But there has to be some
The defence of this country shouldn't be limited by age or rank, and since the end of WWII and the USMJ it has.
