Hey old pal! I bought a M1 just like yours in your picture at the gun show at the Astrohall a few weeks ago. (No bayonet yet though!) Havn't fired an M1 since 1962 at Camp Lejuene. The M14s were just getting to the Crotch at that time. We would get the latest stuff only after the Army had theirs and picked over all the good stuff. BTW, I remember all the fun we had at our rallies in the freezing rain in Houston after the election. You and your "better half" were part of the backbone of our Freeper group. Thanks!
Hey, old friend,
We haven't crossed paths in quite awhile!
That day of the rally I call "the-day-my-hair-froze-to-my-head"!
That was a lot of fun!
I fired the M-1 for the first time at Camp Mathews scoring expert, but not in a rainstorm like CHIEF did it.
Heck, I can't help it if it wasn't raining!
My "better-half" is now my "better-halved".
LOL!
Good to see you!
