She went to High School here in Cincinnati (very good Catholic School) and worked in local TV here. The anchors (both radio & TV) really liked her. Said she was cooperative, smart, hard-working and fearless.

During the Cincinnati riots, she was on a talk show here in Cincinnati. She told the host, Pat Barry, that she phoned Roger Ailes and said 'I need to get to Cincinnati and report on this - that's not the Cincinnati I know'. She talked him into letting her make the trip and she spent two days downtown in the heart of the rioting with just a camera crew.

She was pretty funny. She put her tote bag down on the sidewalk while she did an interview, and - you guessed it - someone swiped it. She said it had the invitation list for her wedding, plus her address book and day planner. She asked them to return the bag - she didn't care about the money and credit cards. Well, they did. A young black boy told her it was hidden right under a sewer grate and that all her stuff was there but the cash.

I know a lot of Freepers are still mad at Rita Cosby from Election Night, but she has done a very good job on the terrorist reporting. I've noticed the attitude of the military and political people is much different with her than with some of the other female interviewers ... she gets more respect, I think. Bill O'Reilly was quite complimentary of her reporting - and he doesn't give compliments lightly. He said her sources were excellent.

I wish FOX would give Patti Ann Browne more to do. I think she's excellent - and consistent. Some of these women just gush on and on - manic one minute and depressed the next.

I sent her a nasty email the night the Supremes came down with their decision and she spoke about Gore having a chance before she had even read it. But she has shown great reporting skills during this crisis. (I think I'll email her an apology.)
