My parents used to go out of town for 3 weeks to a month because we were pretty good kids. Then my fellow cheerleader friend put out a flier that said 'keg party at Mary's'. It was awful. There were about 200 people and they brought 3 kegs. Oh- the furniture! My brother heard about it 200 miles away in college! Needless to say, I can't watch movies like Risky Business and watch a house being destroyed.

I had a friend whose parents used to go away and leave the teens in charge of the house. They always left with the stern warning "no parties".

Of course a huge party always ensued. The parents always knew there had been a party cause their pet cockatoo would be saying SH_T and DAMMIT for days after.
