Precious and Few was our homecoming theme one year.

How many had "Stairway to Heaven" for a theme?

"Brandy, Rock the Boat, Precious and Few. "

Brandy... Looking Glass

Rock the Boat... Hues Corporation

Precious and Few... Climax (one of the great cheesy voices of all time)

Precious and Few was our homecoming theme one year.

Ours was "The Goodbye Girl" to our eternal shame.

I loved that black guy that said "The unnncola", while he was sitting in one of those huge wicker or rattan chairs. My little sis (born in 64) had her senior picture in a chair like that.

Pup N Taco, huge tacos for a quarter.

I think I lived in a culturally deprived area. I remember one episode of the Partridge Family where Keith talked about going down to get a taco to eat. I had no idea what he was talking about.

They had these in soCal, I had the 'requisite' divorced parents and spent time in socal and Texas.

I was working in Nawlins, New Orleans for non-southereners, and a guy I was having lunch with actually didn't know how to eat a taco. I was suitably aghast, but instructed him in the learned art.

What I really miss is soft drinks in returnable glass bottles. I guess you can still get them in some areas, but not here. Mt. Dew has never tasted quite the same.

Oh - and milk delivery! When I was little we still had milkmen.

My junior prom theme was Color My World. I cannot remember the Senior Prom Theme - the juniors gave us a lousy prom..

One year - Homecoming Theme was MacArthur's Park. (I never COULD figure out that song)

We used to fight over who would marry Bobby Sherman!!ROTFL! He had a record (a 45) that we cut out of the back of Honeycomb cereal! I don't remember what it was, but it was the only time I ate Honeycomb.

We never had Stairway to Heaven as a theme for any of our dances - but it was played at all of the dances. Everyone like it because it was a great - LONG - SLOW dance. :))

Mr. Green Jeans

Remember how he used to pick up a bass fiddle and play it sideways, like a guitar? What a joker.

"Just fur on the edge of the hood. "

Whew! Before I saw what you were replying to, I thought this was a drive-in movie subplot!
