Family of Fallen Grange Member Wants Memorial Donations To Be Used To Preserve Farmland
John Ogonowski was the pilot of American Airlines Flight #11 on September 11, 2001 when terrorists hijacked the flight soon after it left Bostons Logan Airport and crashed the airplane into the first World Trade Center building in New York City, killing all aboard the aircraft. John Ogonowski was also a farmer and a longtime member of Dracut Grange #216 in Dracut, Massachusetts. Brother Ogonowskis death has not only caused a tremendous amount of pain and anguish in the community of Dragut but also for Grange members across the nation. Responding to numerous requests for information regarding appropriate memorial donations to honor this fallen hero, the Ogonowski family has decided that donations in Johns memory should be made to the Dragut Land Trust, Inc.
Grange members or other interested individuals wishing to make a memorial donation in John Ogonowskis memory can send their donation to the Dragut Land Trust, Inc., c/o Enterprise Bank and Trust Company, 1168 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA 01826. Cards, notes and other expressions of sympathy to Johns family should be addressed to: The Ogonowski Family, 315 Marsh Hill Road, Dracut MA 01826.
