1961 here...

Quisp cereal, my parents fondue craze, seeing the original Saturday Night Lives as a teenager and not being sure what was going to happen, Steve Martin, drugs galore, Cheech and Chong.

Being excited about getting our first color TV, bowling and wrestling on Sundays, three channels on TV, the Detroit Tigers from the 70's I can still remember without trying (Al Kaline, Jim Northrup, Mickey Lolich, Eddie Brinkman, Aurelio Rodriquez, Norm Cash, Bill Freehan, Rusty Stub, Willie Horton, Mark "The Bird" Fidyrich.)

Yes, I remember us younger kids listening to our older siblings Cheech & Chong records. I vividly remember the one with the teacher, Sister something or other, whose class was so out of hand she would finally scream SHUT UP!

How about diasater movies?
or my big brother babysitting me and letting me watch a movie about earwigs that bore into people's brains.
And thinking thoughts like "Wow! in the future, that is in the year 2000, we'll probably have flying cars!"

my parents fondue craze

Mine, too. Cheese fondue, deep fried mushroom caps, beef tips, just about anything that you could stick on the skewer. I inherited that pot and used it all the time until it blew up on me a few months ago. I almost cried. LOL
